Deborah Autry's interest in the arts surfaced in her childhood. While her brother played unaware in the back yard with his little green army guys, she snuck into his art supplies. It was the unfortunate choice of pastels, leaving residue on her hands, clothes and walls throughout the house that gave her away. Nevertheless, she has studied, practiced, and worked in the graphic and decorative arts since earning her Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Texas in Austin. Deborah joined the design team of J. Mayfield Interior Design shortly after it's inception in 1995. She is still not afraid of getting her hands dirty.
Julianne Mayfield, an Austin native, spent her childhood following her mother through show houses and antique stores. Although she secretly wanted to be a backup singer for a rhythm and blues band, she always felt that her alternate path would be interior design. She lost no time pursuing that goal and started an interior design studio with a friend and fellow design student immediately upon graduating from the University of Texas, Austin. J. Mayfield Interior Design, Inc. is the culmination of her talent and experience. She is a lisensed interior designer and is associated with ASID. Julianne also secretly sings with the radio while driving.
Cindy Brown has always known that she wanted to be an interior designer but her experience goes far deeper than that. She literally knows it from the ground, or foundation, up. Her father was a builder in Ennis, TX. and Cindy was his shadow. She grew up around the building business and became her father’s right hand until it was time to pursue her dream of becoming a designer. She created her own business in the Dallas area before coming to Austin with her family. Cindy is a licensed interior designer, associated with ASID, and can speak Czech when necessary.Meet the Design Team
The Design Team of J. Mayfield Interior Design, Inc is comprised of Julianne Mayfield, Cindy Brown and Debbie Autry. Julianne is an Austin native with deep roots in the design community. She is a board certified interior designer having over thirty years experience in interior design. Cindy Brown, also a board certified interior designer, began her design career in the Dallas area. Cindy moved to Austin and joined Julianne's design firm. She also has over thirty years experience in the Interior Design field.
Both designers have American Society of Interior Designers affiliations. Deboarh Autry who has a background in Fine Arts and Graphic Design completes this experienced team. The collaboration of Julianne, Cindy and Debbie has made J. Mayfield Interior Design, Inc. a vibrant and creative design group.
